People who belong here are typically light in coloring, with a low contrast between hair and skin color. Interestingly, although this palette contains the most typical “princessy” colors, I found almost no major female character who fits into this category! The colors are light and rather cool. Rapunzel is a perfect example.Įntering the cool season of summer we start with Light Summer. The hair color is also light, with a golden untertone. The skin is light, warm, ususally with a rosy or peachy undertone. Light Springs are typically light in coloring with a low contrast between hair color and skin tone. Here, the spring colors are softer, lighter and more delicate but still warm. Like Anna, people who fall into this category have a warm skin tone (usually with a soft beige or peachy tint) and light, warm hair (strawberry blonde, warm caramel, light brown/dark blonde with a coppery undertone, copper). The colors in this palette are warm and saturated. Our next stop is Warm Spring or True Spring. Very dark or even black hair is not uncommon, so isn’t darker skin. People who fall into this category typically have neutral to warm skin and a high contrast between skin tone and hair color (although the latter can vary). Mulan is a perfect example for a Bright Spring. The colors in this palette are warm, clearand bright. Our seasonal color analysis starts with Clear Spring or Bright Spring. This is also true, btw, for male characters who I didn’t focus on this time. For the warmer seasons I had much more princesses to choose from than it was the case with the cooler palettes. ![]() This is - of course - just for fun although it is interesting to note how Disney tends to favour warmer color palettes for their female characters over cool ones. So here are my suggestions for some of the female Disney character’s seasonal colors. Everyone who knows me knows that I’m hugely into colors, color palettes and color analysis. ![]()
